Motorcycle pants are often worn by men, women and children, but in a study conducted in Sweden, a study of 871 men and women found that motorcycle pants were favored by both men and those in their 20s and 30s.
In fact, men were more likely to have worn motorcycle pants in the past 30 days than women.
A study of 10,000 people by the same team in Denmark also found that the most popular motorcycle apparel for men was a sporty suit and ties, with women favoring a sportier suit and sport coats.
However, according to a 2014 survey by the National Center for Men and Boys, motorcycle apparel was preferred by women as well.
The study by the Center for American Progress, which surveyed 1,000 men and 1,050 women, found that while both men (62%) and women (56%) preferred motorcycle apparel, men preferred sport jackets, pants and ties to more casual clothing.
The women’s preference was for pants and jackets.
The most popular choice for women, however, was a long-sleeved shirt, which was favored by 44% of women and 37% of men.
The report also found, however: A majority of women (60%) also wore pants.
Men preferred jackets and sports coats, but women were less likely to wear sport jackets.
