The ghost rider of a motorcycle accident in California yesterday may have been an Indian motorcycle rider.
The California Highway Patrol said that it was investigating a motorcycle crash near the village of Gorman on Monday, which occurred when a passenger in the motorcycle left the motorcycle unattended on a hillside and collided with a motorcycle at high speed.
The rider, identified as 51-year-old Michael B., was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The motorcycle crashed into a tree at about 3:30 p.m. in the area of South Larkin Street and San Pablo Avenue, CHP Officer Christopher Dickson said.
Dickson said there was no evidence that the motorcycle had been operated illegally and that the driver, a 54-year old man, was not being sought.
The CHP said it was conducting a preliminary investigation and that it would release more information once it was completed.
