Bollywood actor Anupam Kher, best known for his role as Dattatreya in the popular Indian film Crazy Eyes, will join the Indian film industry in the coming months, a source close to the film has said.
Anupam is a native of Kolkata, where he has worked for over a decade.
He is the nephew of actor-turned-politician Arjun Kapoor.
The 38-year-old actor has been cast in the upcoming film titled ‘Cri-t-Tad Tuk’ and will reportedly be working with veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan on the screenplay.
Kher will play a lawyer and advocate who works with his wife, a teacher, on the streets of Delhi.
He has been active in the film business for more than 10 years.
Bollywood is set to expand in the country and will soon be seen as the new hub for the industry.
The film is expected to be released by 2023 and will star Anupampal Chatterjee, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone and other prominent names in the industry, the source added.
The film, which is being produced by Khetan Bollywood Films, will also feature an actor who has played several parts in Bollywood films like Prakash Khanna, Amitabhar Adani and Deepika Bhardwaj.
